Fatigue evaluation of non-ferrous, non-metallic materials
Fatigue evaluation of non-ferrous and non-metallic materials (short fiber reinforced resin / CFRP laminated materials / rubber, etc.)
1) Current Challenges The technology for predicting fatigue strength against repeated deformation provided by our company, along with our in-house developed software FEMFAT, can be applied to structural components of any product, helping to prevent cracks that may occur within the product's service life and supporting the optimal design of structural components. 2) Features of the Technology Using the software FEMFAT, which incorporates our developed fatigue strength prediction method, along with commercially available simulation software, enables optimal design of structural components for products that incorporate non-ferrous materials (such as short fiber reinforced resins made from glass or carbon, CFRP laminates, and rubber materials) and non-metal materials (such as solder, pure aluminum, and copper). Our developed software FEMFAT is utilized by automotive companies, automotive parts suppliers, and various industrial machinery sectors, contributing to the optimal design of structural components. 3) Effects of Technology Application By predicting fatigue strength and optimizing structural components before prototyping products or parts, we contribute to reducing time-consuming durability tests, lightweighting structural components, and optimizing manufacturing costs of products.
